Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Me: It's a little bizarre seeing my short hair and skirt in the pictures at S's.
T-Town: Why?
Me: I feel like my look is changing so much right now that I don't recognize myself.
T-Town: Well, you are changing a lot of things lately.
Me: What things? I got hair cut again, true, and I'm blonde, but that's old--at least the blonde part is, although I'm still surprised when I look in the mirror sometimes. I guess it's because I'm there with a boyfriend and I'm wearing a skirt, and a big sweatshirt that's not mine, and I have really, really short hair.
T-Town: Right. You live in Seattle, you have a boyfriend, you decided to go vegan and you no longer consider yourself Christian. You don't live, love, eat or believe the same things any more. In the space of three months.
Me: Hmmmm.
T-Town: Pretty much everything except your job and your dog has changed.
Me: I guess I should slow down, but it's hard.
T-Town: You seem to be pulling it off ok.
Me: Thank you.

At least I still have scabby knees.

I don't recognize myself in the mirror either. Just chopped 10 inches of my hair. My cut is similar to yours!

Nice knees.

MiM--Please tell me it wasn't because of Hope Harcourt, or whoever that beyootch was. And did you talk it over with Hubby? :)

Let me reassure you that lots of hard work went into those knees. That's not an overnight process!

Dude if those are scabby knees, yeesh! I don’t even know what I did to my knees half the time and they’re always f*ed up with bruises and stuff. Plus there’s all the old resident scars, haven’t added any major ones since Halloween ’04 though!

Umm, are you talking Hope Harcourt as in “Anyting Goes” Hope Harcourt? I thought she was dead.

You are just morphing into the “you” that you were meant to be. By the end of the process you will look at old pictures of you and wonder who that was.

Hi! Thanks for all the comments on my blog! Lol!

I haven't seen your "before" pictures yet, but you look gorgeous in this photo! (Your knees are perfect, so stop picking on them!) :P I was happy to read how you say you have been changing so fast! I felt the same way when I went vegan and wondered "Who is this new person?!" I wasn't sure if I was turning into a hippie, a wimp, a punk, or just a better person in general. It took me months to redefine who I was and include veganism. For you, it must be shocking to have so many more changes than just your diet. I think you look fabulous, comfortable, and happy though, so you are doing something totally right! :P I'd just enjoy the changes and see what unfolds without worrying much about it.

:)

Well, gorsh, thanks ladies! *preens*

Shan: there was some lady bothering MiM on her blog awhile ago. It was nasty. That was her internet handle. Fortunately, it's over now. And...Anyting? :)
