Best Caffeine Prayer ever
Everyone has seen this. But it's still so good, and so applicable. (Note: the following is my personal version. I think it's the best.)(Further note: I got no sleep. Not for anything exciting, either.)
The Caffeine Addict's Prayer.
Caffeine is my shepherd; I shall not doze.
It maketh me wake in green pastures,
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses,
It restoreth my buzz.
It guides me in the paths of consciousness for its name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction, I will fear no decaf, for thou black coffee art always with me;
Thou 7-11 and thou am/pm, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of tea drinkers:
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over.
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the House of Maxwell forever.
And a good comic strip:

I vote on 'alertness' to replace consciousness, and I question the sentence with black in it. I would say something more like, and thou shall be black with me forever, or something more along those lines, hailing your commitment to not weakening it with anything.
I'm not trying to nit pick or be negative, just offering suggestions so that it will, in fact, be the best ever.
And seriously, how do some comic strip writers stay so in touch with youth? I know I never could.
Oh, and to all of Maggie's dear readers, there are a couple of days of my reflections on working as a porn clerk in the last week or so on my blog, for whoever's interested.
I might put "alertness" in there. I like that. Way to put a shamless plug in the comments for your own blog. :) I'm leaving the black coffee line because the current sentence structure is much closer to that same line in the original 23rd Psalm. And comic strip writers writing just for me is nothing. Better is when I've been humming a song all day and then turn on the radio to find it playing, or being announced by the DJ as the next song up. That's always fun.
I love it. LOL.
WHERE on earth did you find zits? I love that comic!

Hi m,
There's a couple of links on the web, and none of them are great. For a week of archives, go here:

(all one line, no quotes, no spaces, blogger and firefox don't always agree on formatting) or here:
